SPOON BREAD

1 PINT OF MILK
1 CUP OF WATER
2 TABLESPOONS OF BUTTER
HEAT THE ABOVE AND SIFT IN 1 CUP OF SELF-RISING CORN MEAL
STIR TO MAKE A MUSH AND SET ASIDE
BEAT YOLKS OF 3 EGGS,STIR INTO MUSH
ADD BEATEN WHITES OF EGGS, JUST BEFORE PUTTING INTO OVEN
BAKE IN BUTTERED BAKING DISH FOR 40 MINUTES AT 400 DEGREES
SERVE WITH SPOON FROM DISH IN WHICH IT IS BAKED
I USE PYREX
ENOUGH FOR 6 PEOPLE
